Plants

Pine Hill has the area's largest selection of high-quality plants suitable for northwest lower Michigan. You will find that we offer many native plants as well as a large variety of deer-resistant plants for those of you hoping to deer-proof your landscape. We take pride in offering the best of the new plant introductions each year, as well as those that have proven their value over the years.

Annuals: Spring is annuals' time, and we grow hundreds of varieties, sold in jumbo 6-packs, 3 inch pots, and 4 inch pots. We also offer thousands of hanging baskets, as well as a multitude of combination pots. We carry a broad selection of Proven Winners annuals, and offer many hard-to-find annuals as well as widely grown varieties. If you have pots or window boxes that you would like to have 'custom planted', please contact us prior to Mother's Day.

Perennials: We carry more than 500 varieties of perennials, with a large variety available for both sun and shade. In addition to those that we grow ourselves, we receive frequent shipments throughout the growing season. Stop in regularly to see what has newly arrived.

Roses: We offer many types of roses including hybrid teas, David Austin roses, Romantica roses, Flower Carpet roses, floribundas, landscape and shrub roses, rugosas, rose standards, and climbers.

Ornamental Grasses: Ornamental grasses are an easy way to add drama to the landscape. We carry more than a dozen varieties.

Vines: A great way to soften walls, pillars, arbors, and fences... We carry a large selection of vines including such favorites as clematis, honeysuckle, trumpet vine, silver lace vine, wisteria, climbing hydrangea, and others.

Ground Covers: We offer dozens of varieties of ground covers including Steppables which are low growing plants that can handle light foot traffic and are ideal from planting around stepping stones. Whether you need something for a sunny spot or an area in the shade, check out our choices.

Shrubs: Shrubs are part of the backbone of any landscape. We carry more than 200 varieties of shrubs in various sizes. We have a huge selection of rhododendrens, hydrandeas, holly, lilacs, junipers, as well as many other shrubs noted for foliage, flowers, and/or berries. We have shrubs suitable for foundation planting, screening and hedges, and general landscape use.

Trees: We carry more than 150 varieties of trees. Whether you are looking for shade trees, specimen trees, flowering trees, or evergeens, you'll be delighted by our selection. We offer the area's largest selection of Japanese Maples, unique conifers, and weeping trees. We carry tree in containers as well as larger specimens that are ball-and-burlap'ed.
